How to be Perfectly Comfortable on Your Wedding Day

No matter how excited you are for your wedding, it’s completely normal to have wedding day jitters. Everyone gets them, and understandably so—marriage is a huge step to take, and marks a turning point for the rest of your life. To be prepared for your inevitable wedding day nerves, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite tips to stay completely comfortable on the day of.

Hire Vendors You Trust

The morning of your wedding, you don’t want to be stressed about details you thought of months ago. Hiring vendors who you know will do a good job and have everything completely ready for your ceremony and reception makes a huge difference—you don’t want to wake up wondering if your cake will be delivered safely or if the food will be ready in time, so make sure you do your research and hire vendors you trust.

Stay Organized

If you have a wedding planner, don’t worry about this; but if you’re doing everything yourself, it’s important to stay organized in preparation for the wedding itself. Having a plan for the wedding day, whether that means passing your planning baton to a friend and letting them take the reins for the day or having everything completely set ahead of time, helps make your day much easier and more relaxed, so you can enjoy it.

Love What You’re Wearing

It goes without saying that you should love your wedding dress, but it’s important to feel confident in it too. Spending the entire day in a dress you think is beautiful but feel self conscious in will distract you! Find something that fits perfectly and makes you feel incredible. And when it comes to accessories, choose pieces that make you feel great! If you aren’t someone who typically wears heels, don’t try to walk down the aisle in a pair of 4-inch stilettos. Find things that make you feel like the best version of yourself.

Do a Hair and Makeup Trial

Have you ever been halfway through a haircut and thought, oh no, this is not what I asked for? Everyone’s been there, but you really do not want to have it happen on your wedding day. Once your hair is done, you won’t have time to shower and redo it yourself and have it come out the way you want to, so go see your hair stylist and do a trial run before the wedding so you’re on the same page and you know you’ll love it. Do the same with your makeup artist too, so you know what to expect and what you’re getting.

Take Engagement Photos

A lot of photographers require engagement sessions these days, and for good reason! Many couples get nervous in front of the camera, so having an engagement session with your photographer not only gives you beautiful photos, but helps you loosen up and get more comfortable being photographed so that your wedding day photos turn out amazing.
